Hi, my name is Nikki.
I work in Product Communications at FareHarbor by day and am a freelance writer and classic rock enthusiast the rest of the time.
This is a place for me to share some of the work I'm most proud of.
I'm proud to be a regular contributor to The San Franciscan magazine, and have written and photographed over 80 articles for Hoodline, a hyperlocal San Francisco news publication. My favorite stories are those that spotlight the undersung people and spaces in the communities around me.
In my first two years at FareHarbor, I built the company’s Help Center from the ground up, publishing 300+ pages and 20+ videos using a homegrown CMS built on top of WordPress. This page contains a small sampling of the documentation I've written.
I'm always keen to jump in and assist with email campaigns, press releases, and visuals, whether at FareHarbor or Pacific Crest Youth Arts Organization, a nonprofit I've volunteered with since 2016.
As a Product Owner, I worked closely with a tight-knit group of designers and engineers to distill complex concepts into simple user interfaces using clear, friendly UX copy. Together, we built some of FareHarbor's most impactful features.
Since 2008, I've used my personal blog as a continued outlet for ramblings on music, movies, and pop culture, while occasionally contributing to other online publications.
